Let It Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

On Friday we went toboganning once Avery was out of school. I figured we were going to get snowed in over the weekend with being under a winter storm watch so, why not get the kids out of the house before this happens. It wasn't too cold or windy just yet so, it was perfect for us to enjoy (I say this lightly, like everyone else I've had enough of it) the snow.

Caleb loves going down the hill on his sled and usually does with his dad, or sister or myself. Friday he decided he could go down on his own and did a fine job except for the first time going down on his own he put his hands over his eyes. Chris and I were yelling at him to put his hands down so he could see where he was going so he didn't run into the fence at the bottom of the hill. It was snowing and while going down the hill it was hard to keep our eyes open because the snow was coming right at our faces. So, Caleb thought the best thing to do was to cover his eyes with his hands. Silly boy.

Keagan really liked toboganning this time. Last time we took them he went down the hill once and was happy playing in the snow at the top of the hill, more my thing, too. Once we went down the hill he was determined that he was going to pull the toboggan or sled up the hill on his own. He had fun but had enough before his brother and sister did and he decided he just wanted to pull the sled around at the top of the hill.

Avery has always loved the snow. The year she got her gt snoracer for Christmas it barely snowed and she was only able to use it once or twice. Now this year there has been a ton of snow but she's been so busy with hockey that she still has only used it a couple of times. There was a ramp that somebody had made at the hill prior to us going. Avery had fun jumping it and did fall off once.

Everyone had fun and I hope that it's the last time we are able to go toboganning. Sounds mean because the kids enjoy it so much but I so want winter to be over.
