The dreaded switchover from crib to single bed, from staying in bed because he hasn't figured out how to climb out of the crib to getting out of bed because he can!
On Friday Chris and my dad spent all morning putting together Keagan and Caleb's new beds. Caleb was very excited to have a new bed and he will tell you that when he is six and Keagan is four we will put them into bunk beds and he gets to sleep on top. Keagan was also excited although I don't think he realized he has to sleep in it. We put him down for a nap in his new big boy bed and he screamed and cried, but not for too long because he had figured out that he could get out of bed. After about two hours of me standing at his bedroom door he fell asleep. Great! Forty five minutes later he was up, not so great, not a long enough nap for him.
These few days have been tiring. He's been falling asleep at night around 8:30-9:00pm making him overtired and resulting in shorter naps. Hopefully the novelty will wear off soon and he will catch up on his sleep. Sooner would be better than later!
