Grocery Shopping

Does everyone else dislike grocery shopping as much as I do? What I dislike about it even more than taking the time to drive down to the grocery store that is about two minutes away from my home is doing it on the weekends. I swear everyone and their brother are there on the weekends. I normally go during the week after dropping the kids off at school and it is quiet. A little more enjoyable but not enough to say that I do enjoy it. I can't stand getting behind someone that has to look at every little thing in the aisle that you need ONE thing and you can see it but can't get to it. An old man on one side that can't see anything he has to pick everything up so he can read it and on the other side someone is stopped and is totally oblivious that there are other people around him wanting by to get that ONE thing. Doesn't that old man turn around when he's found something he's looking for so now I'm in HIS way. I politely get out of his way (respect your elders, right?) and just as I'm about to continue down the aisle to grab that box of bear paws (hope the kids liked them!) there's someone else coming that way and they were not going to let me by. I scooched quickly by them and parked my cart and walked right in front of them (yep, I did!) and grabbed that box of bear paws because they were on sale and my 4 year old has been asking for them. I proudly continued on my way. I get up to the cashier thinking I made good time and didn't waste my entire morning there and they take forever to ring everything through! It takes the cashiers longer to ring everything through and bag my purchases than it does for me to put it all in my cart. The last thing I don't like about getting groceries is putting them away. When the kids were a little younger they loved to help me put them away but now I swear they run when they see the bags. Now that they are a little older and do know where things go they could actually help as opposed to being in the way. I could send my husband to do the grocery shopping but in reality I would still have to go get the things that he forgot. So, I will continue to get them during the week, NOT on weekends!

I don't mind the actual shopping but I'm with you 100% on the putting stuff away. I HATE it. and I have to do it myself b/c I'm so anal I won't let Joe do it.

I hate it all... shopping and putting it away! But I can't send Taylor because he will not stray from the list and I'm not writing everything down!

I always laugh at how redundant it is. I put the stuff in the cart, to take it out of the cart, to put it back into the cart, to put it in my car! LOL! I have taken to going to the market for fresh fruit every week and only to the grociery store once a month. I like you, don't play well with others in public! Lol! Only thing better would have been a commitator over head!
LOVE YA!
