On our vacation we went to a campground and stayed in a cabin for 3 days. Well, we only stayed for 1 night because of all the wonderful earwigs that we found in the cabin after the first night. We opted to get a motel room for the other 2 nights instead of ending our vacation right then and there, which is exactly what I really wanted to do. But the motel room was appreciated very much.
Anyway, this campground was great (besides the bugs) for the kids. They had a one acre pool and a splash pool just off of it. Both boys were able to go in the shallowest part of the pool with water wings on without us holding on to them - they loved it!
They experienced camping per se. They experienced cooking and eating our meals outside and we roasted marshmallows and made smores. (Probably the most memorable time of our vacation for me!)
Keagan is sneezing in this picture but it's to show how deep the water is, it was a splash pool not a splash pad.
