It is Possible

This week I realized how much money we were spending on take out and eating out at restaurants, it's ridiculous and it needs to stop. The reason we do eat out quite a bit is because at the end of the day I do not want to cook. If I haven't got any meat out of the freezer I'm at a loss as to what to make our family of five. So, because I realized how much it is costing us I told my husband that he needs to help me out by being responsible for supper one night a week. I chose Saturdays because I don't expect a big meal on Saturdays. He has to decide what to have and cook it.
Tonight was the first day for this to happen. He made soup and grilled cheese sandwiches without burning either. I must say he did a fine job. Such a good job that our middle child said to him "thank you for making this". Funny, I'm pretty sure I don't get a thanks every day for making them all breakfast, lunch, supper and snacks!

isn't that always the way? My kids love Daddy's meals too because it's usually from one of their favorite restaurants!
