How did it become February and I have yet to update my blog in 2009? Why us having a bad day made me come here and share with everyone? I'm really not sure of the answer to that - maybe I'll feel better if I get some sympathy. Just maybe I will get some sympathy from other bloggers.
Yesterday was one of the worst days that I think I've experienced in years or maybe ever. Have you ever just felt like nothing was going to go right? Well, this was how I felt when I woke up not feeling well. I had a sore throat, a very, very scratchy sore throat that really hurt to swallow. I was achy and my stomach hurt. I plain and simple felt like crud!
Not long after I had realized that I didn't want to get out of bed (Chris was letting me sleep in) I heard a very loud high pitched cry come from the basement that had me jumping out of bed and down there in seconds. Caleb had fallen. He had fallen hard. There was blood. He thought he would clean up the toy room and put stuff away. He decided standing on a ride on toy with wheels was a good idea to reach something that he couldn't reach without help. He fell on a cupboard - he says he fell on the corner of a cupboard and I believe this since he has a very distinct triangle mark on the end of his nose. He has a good cut on his forehead that really was the least of our concern. We were afraid that he had cut right through his nose - with checking multiple times he did not.
After this happened is when I realized that this was going to be a very bad day.
To end the day, Chris ended up in emergency with Keagan at 10pm. Keagan ended up with his usual barking cough and stridor breathing. We could not get it under control here with the vaporizer, puffers and sitting in the cold garage. Keagan was given some liquid steroid in apple juice and was sent home without a prescription. He still barked all night but not as bad.
Although it was a very bad day and I want to forget about it, my husband stepped up and did things beyond the norm for him. He did the grocery shopping for me and he's the one that took Keagan to the hospital during the last few minutes of Superbowl! If it wasn't for Chris I don't think I would survived this day.

Ugh I had no idea that C had fallen and had gotten hurt? I only knew about the ER?
Blogging/writing does help. It is now I keep my sanity. Usually I write about things that make me angry or sad... often I try to put a funny slant on it.
What happened to you yesterday was not at all funny, but my terrible horrible no good very bad day was, when I stepped back to look at it, indeed very funny!
