I cannot believe it! Avery's birthday is today and she is now 11 years old. Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday she was this little girl that had short curly hair that just wouldn't grow. She spoke in full sentences at a very young age which through everyone for a loop when she spoke. Now at 11 she still has curly hair but it now grows like crazy. Now when she speaks she never ceases to amaze me, she is smart and can rattle off facts about many things. She does have the pre-teen sossiness and attitude but I try to forget that.
I remember the day she was born, I was shocked when the doctors told me "it's a girl!". I thought for sure I was having a boy. She was an easy baby, great sleeper, great eater and always had a smile on her face. She was a little slow on some milestones but definately made up for it in others. She sat up at 7 months, crawled at 12 months and walked at 19 months. Her first word came very early at 5 1/2 months followed by a few others by the time she was 8 months old. She had 12 teeth including her one year old molars by her first birthday.
I just can't believe my baby girl is 11 years old already!

well then it seems to me that Avery would be the perfect example as to why you should not freak out when your baby does not hit a milestone on time. She might have been a late runner, but hell, look at her now! Happy Birthday Avery!
